The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to limit contacts and celebrate with close family, to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The responsible behavior of everyone is decisive in limiting the spread of Covid19, they warned.
Regarding the situation of COVID19, the authorities said that 1889 tests were performed of which 375 resulted positive.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 127 cases in Tirana, 35 in Fier, 32 in Durrës, 24 in Vlora, 20 in Kavaja, 19 in Shkodra, 12 in Saranda, 11 in Berat, 9 in Lushnje, 8 in Mallakastër, 7 cases in Kurbin, Dibër, from 5 cases in Kruja, Elbasan, Peqin, from 4 cases in Pogradec, Kolonjë, Kuçovë, Skrapar, from 3 cases in Korçë, Tropojë, Librazhd, 2 cases each in Devoll, Mat, Përmet, Delvinë, Memaliaj, Gramsh, and 1 case each in Lezha, Has, Kamza, Gjirokastra, Vau i Dejës, Divjakë, Malësi e Madhe, Vora, Maliq, Patos, Cerrik, Poliçan.
In the last 24 hours, 391 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals, 324 patients are being treated, 33 of whom in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours couldn’t win the battle with the disease 9 citizens: 5 citizens from Tirana, 1 man from Lezha, 1 woman from Përmeti, 1 man from Berat, 1 man from Gjirokastra, aged 38- 86 years old. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
