Blushi: Political parties, profitable companies

The Socialist MP, Ben Blushi, was very harsh against the Albanian
political class. Although he declared his vote in favor, Blushi said the
decriminalization law is incomplete, for as long that the source of
this cause will not be regulated. And the source, according to Blushi,
are the political parties that supply the Parliament with people. “For
as long that the parties are not democratic within them, they don’t
respect the votes, they are full of irregularities, of course it will
have only the inadequate people in Parliament”, Blushi said.

“Our parties are not groups of people that voluntarily respect a program and a statute, but they are profitable companies. Fierce competition has made them call to arms those who violate the law. This is why this Parliament has no teachers, but only bad students. There are more guns than books in here. More speculators than economists. More former prisoners than lawyers. More people who have made illegal constructions than engineers. This will go on for as long that our parties are not democratic”, Blushi said.

The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, said that the Albanian politicians should return their salaries if the justice reform is not passed. Tahiri said the opposition should not boast with the decriminalization law when the people is still suffering with the justice system.

The former Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, said that Albania does not need a decriminalization of politics, but to remove Edi Rama from the administration. He said that 80% of the Parliament Members don’t speak because they are scared of the criminals on the floor. Berisha said the session should be postponed until PM Rama returned from China, since this law should not be discussed without the main protagonist.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, answered that the agenda was approved by the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group leader, but Berisha said that he was not aware that Rama would not be present.

The Democratic Party MP, Majlinda Bregu, said that the decriminalization is not a European standard required by the EU, but an internal need of Albania. Bregu said this process came as a need from the internal events.

The Socialist Movement for Integration MP, Spartak Braho, said that the two new amends brought by the opposition aim to delay the decriminalization process.
