PM Rama: “Accusations for waste materials, slander from political media”

“People are being filled with scaremonger today by political and media charlatans whose only aim is to use them against the government”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister adds that this government did not betray the people of Albania when they banned the waste import, and they haven’t abandoned them with the new law either, which has nothing to do with the import of waste materials that can be burned or buried in Albania. “We will never betray Albanians for any interest that goes against our children”, he says.

According to Rama, the new law is just a normalization of the recycling industry, 100% based on the Green Law of the EU, which buys waste materials of paper, plastics, aluminum, wood and turns them into raw materials.

“We were the only country in Europe without this law and now we are like every other country”, Rama concludes.
