Kosovo Parliament has elected Gani Gërguri as Governor of Kosovo Central Bank.
99 deputies were present in the voting session, 58 of which voted in favor, 15 supported the other candidate, Safet Merovci, and 26 votes were invalid.
Kosovo Central Bank had remained without a Governor since July 23rd of last year, after the arrest of former Governor, Hashim Rexhepi.
Rexhepi is under investigation for power abuse, bribe, tax evasion and money laundering.
