Local elections are held tomorrow in Albania, where 61 new mayors are expected to be elected. Top Channel will broadcast directly the developments in all municipalities of the country, in a long TV marathon that starts from 07:00 in the morning.

These elections were preceded by an unusual political situation with the opposition DP divided in at least two factions, while the ruling socialists seek reconfirmation in most municipalities. Several incidents showed that the “old disease” of selling the vote has not ended.

Dozens of Top Channel journalists, cameramen and support staff are spread across the country, who will follow the events in every municipality, to bring the latest news as quickly and as accurately as possible.

Meanwhile the preparations for the elections are continuing and the CEC is distributing the voting material base to the zonal commissions in the municipalities.

According to the data of the CEC, the distribution of the material base in Kolonje, Gramsh, Pustec has been completed.

In the district of Gjirokastra, distribution has been completed, except for Dropulli municipality.

The distribution in Berat, Fier and Korçë has also been completed, except for Pogradec, which is still in the process.

In some of them, there have been problems with the formation of commissions. Out of the country’s 61 municipalities, in three of them, Vora, Kamza and Elbasani, there will be electronic voting and counting, and the result is expected to be released 30 minutes after the end of citizens’ voting.
