The Democratic Party asked the Prosecution to start investigating the
Health Minister, Ilir Beqaj, and respect the inspection of the Supreme
State Audit.
The Democratic Party MP, Albana Vokshi, said that the Supreme State Audit has verified a series of violations that caused millions in economic damage at the Health Fund, directly overseen by Beqaj as chairman of the board.
“The SSA inspectors have verified 5 million ALL damage with the car services; 10 million ALL with fuel; 51 million ALL with travels abroad, irregular bills and photocopying machines; 25 million ALL with purchase of office materials; 5 million ALL in coctails and dinners with live music. This is how this institution has been governed. Hundreds of millions of ALL that end up in the pockets of government leaders with a scandalous greed”, Vokshi said.
