Rama respondds to those who accuse him of being a “traitor” for receiving Vucic after Recak massacre denial

Rama had to respond to a large number of comments on his Facebook profile, coming from people who accuse him of being a traitor, after receiving the Serbian President in Tirana, Alexandar Vucic, after he had denied the Recak Massacre and after Kosovo politicians refused to attend the summit in Serbia’s presence.

Rama told to those who supported the fact that Kosovo didn’t attend the meeting with Serbia’s President, Vucic: “I have a question for you. Do you think Vucic is happier if Kosovo comes to the meeting? Or happier when it doesn’t come? I’ll tell you. He’d be happier if Kosovo wouldn’t come at all, because that way Kosovo would be unable to express itself, unable to influence and unable to benefit anything”, Rama declared, adding that this meeting has had the support of the USA and the EU, who have supported Kosovo without reserves and who want to see it on the same table with all the other countries.

The Prime Minister told commenters that when he was travelling to Belgrade he heard the same extreme insults, and when said in Belgrade that Kosovo is independent and a free country, he received extreme praises, but none of them affected him because he was the same before and after the trip, and the same way he is not being affected by them at this moment.

“Albania and Kosovo had no chance to remove the border between them before this meeting (Balkan Mini-Schengen). This is very possible now because the Serbian President has accepted the freedom of movement of the people in the region”, Rama decared, adding that with the Mini-Schengen, people will be able to travel and trade freely between Kosovo and Albania, and no one would start making accusations about a “Greater Albania”.
