Rama: “DP-SMI, a treason act. Saturday’s protest, against EU integration”

After the opposition abandoned the Parliament floor, leaving the majority alone to approve the resolution that the Socialist Party had proposed for opening the accession negotiations, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that this is another effort on their side to block the country’s EU integration.

“Whoever walks on the lobbies of European parliaments, working against Albania’s EU integration, with this resolution they have one more argument to tell others that the Parliament of Albania is not unanimous”, Rama said.

“The Democratic Party was born with the slogan ‘we want Albania like the rest of Europe’, but with this behavior they seem to continue the program of Esat pasha, and this is incredible”, Rama said.

Appealing the Prosecution to make an international analyzation of the audio recording in which Albert Veliu claims that he has spoken with the brother of the Interior Minister to transport cannabis, Rama says he is certain about the result.

“This is not a matter of opinion. This is a matter of scientific expertise. The investigations will show who is the producer and director of this show. Fortunately, the time when people would protest on the street and get killed, is over”, Rama said.

Rama added that the DP is playing with the Albanian people. “Every Albanian who doesn’t want European integration, should join their protest”, Rama said.
