Minister of Justice to Prosecutors: “Cases more secretly kept by newspapers than the Prosecution”

The Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, asked Prosecutors to verify the abuse cases of any public official.

Manjani said that official crime and street crime must be punished the same.

“The investigative case is more secretly kept in a newspaper than in a Prosecution. This is a hybrid system that doesn’t function in our society. We don’t have to place deadlines. My invitation for the Prosecution’s service has been very clear. They need to reveal the affairs of every official or Minister. If Prosecutors hesitate, there is no reform that can solve this”, Manjani declared.

The head of the Prosecutor’s Union, Ndini Tavani, said that negative connotations should stop to not damage the daily work of the Prosecution.
