Representatives of the Alliance against Gender Discrimination have
paraded on the “Deshmoret e Kombit” boulevard in Tirana against
homophobia.
Albanian representatives and many foreigners held the colorful banner and declared that they should not be discriminated, but enjoy human rights as everyone else.
“The main message is that we are all equal. This message goes to those who feel that they are hopeless”, declared Xheni Karaj, representative of the LGBT.
The representatives of the Alliance said that this meeting, which became more difficult because of the rain, is a good step forward.
This group had many foreign citizens but also heterosexuals who supported the LGBT community.
The “Pink Embassy” had also placed some informing stands at the “Vellezerit Frasheri” square for the international day against homophobia.
