The Greek Parliament voted amid debates the law that approves the agreement signed with Albania, to mutually recognize the driving licenses of both countries.

The law is the result of a long process of negotiations that have been discussed in the past years between the two governments, and it will make it easier for people to move within each country.

This means that a citizen who decides to live in the other country can go and apply for a driving license without having to go through the tests.

This avoids numerous bureaucracies, and it is useful especially to Albanians who had to pay a large amount of money for the Greek license.

Every Albanian citizen who lives in Greece can now convert his Albanian license and receive a Greek one by submitting a request at their local transportation agency, followed by the appropriate medical reports.
