The decision of the Electoral College for the appeal of the Socialist
Party has been publicly announced, with the explanatory arguments.
The Electoral College rejected the decision of the Central Election Commission that announced the Democratic Party candidate as Mayor for Tirana Municipality, with 81 votes more than his rival.
The College ruled that all ballot boxes of 368 voting centers in Tirana must be opened and reassessed.
According to the Electoral College, the ballot boxes for the Tirana Mayor will not be opened. The decision stated that will be counted only the ballots for the Mayor that have been mistakenly cast in wrong boxes.
