Socialist Party MP, Taulant Balla, and Shkelzen Berisha, son of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, have met before in court during a slander trial.

Today they met once again, at the Court of Serious Crime, this time for the alleged CEZ corruptive affair. The Court decided that this case was not their competence, returning it to the Supreme Court.

Shkelzen Berisha said that this means that the Court is afraid to make justice.

“Balla has already been branded for slander. I want him to receive a legal answer. CEZ? This is a different case. Balla said that for three years I haven’t paid any tax. I have paid more than 50 million ALL in taxes. As for CEZ, that’s just for noise. I have already declared that I have nothing to do with its privatization. Taulant Balla said that I haven’t paid any tax. I want transparency. I have documents from the tax office. I have paid taxes. Balla is the only Parliamentary Group leader that doesn’t implement the verdict of the Court of Appeal as slanderer. He hides behind Rama and doesn’t pay his obligation. If this country had a Prosecution, he would have been gone to trial. I expect nothing about the CEZ case because I have nothing to do with the privatization”, Shkelzen Berisha declared.

Taulant Balla, on the other hand, appealed the Prosecution once again to investigate the CEZ case with seriousness.

“We all know that this case needs to be investigated. I appeal the Prosecution to investigate it with seriousness. They should implement the Court of Serious Crimes decision, which asked the Prosecution to question Shkelzen Berisha, Genc Ruli, Sali Berisha and Ndue Nikalaj. I appeal the Prosecution to find this person. He avoided the Parliamentary Investigative Commission. This person needs to be found. He has withdrawn 6.8 million EUR, success payment for the most failed privatization that has caused the biggest damage to the economy of the Albanian people, a total of 414 million EUR. As for the words that the Prime Minister’s son keeps saying, that he has made honest work, they are the words of a man who has not worked a single day in his life, a man who hasn’t signed a single time in a workplace, a man that as declared revenues has only commissions. You can check the asset audit book”, Taulant Balla said.
