The Ministry of Health said today that 4 victims and 93 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours in the country as a result of covid-19.
The figures of the last 24 hours set a record in the country for both victims and new cases.
4 citizens have lost the battle with the disease: a 68-year-old man from Durrës, a 65-year-old man from Tirana, a 63-year-old man from Elbasan and a 71-year-old woman from Shkodra, with some concomitant diseases, in deteriorated condition as consequence of Covid19.
During the last 24 hours, 420 tests were performed on persons suspected as affected by COVID19, of which 93 positive cases were confirmed.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 62 cases in Tirana, 6 in Shkodra, 4 in Gjirokastra, 3 cases in Durres, Puka, 2 cases in Korca, Mirdita, Tropoja, Malësi e Madhe, and 1 case in Kruja, Fier, Lezha, Kavaja, Rrogozhina, Berat, Tepelena.
In the last 24 hours 6 citizens have recovered, bringing to 1881 the number of healed since the beginning of the epidemic.
