Rama in Prespa: “Making a living through agro-tourism, better than through emigration”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, started his two-day visit in Korca from the Prespa region, as part of the “100 villages” project.

Rama asked residents to join efforts for rural development.

“We have a program that funds hostels as grants, not as loans. There is also support to agro-tourism hotels”, Rama said.

A special task-force, according to Rama, is being established with the purpose to follow specific projects, orienting this way those who want to invest.

Rama didn’t hide the fact that the fund in question is not large, due to the lack of projects and lack of cooperation between the local and central governments. But making a living through agro-tourism, according to Rama, is much better than emigration.
