Paloka: “Reform, after early elections. But Rama must leave first”

The Democratic Party say the idea of the Socialist MP, Pandeli Majko, to
hold early elections if the justice reform fails to pass, is a threat
from Edi Rama to his ally, Ilir Meta. Although he agrees with Majko for
early elections, Paloka says the reason should be because of the crisis,
not because of what he calls “Rama’s threats”.

When asked if the reform is a political or technical process, Paloka says there is aa third option: “The other option is elections and then the reform, since Edi Rama doesn’t have the good will to finalize this reform”, he says.

Even for early elections, Paloka says their firm condition is to have another government organizing them: “Edi Rama must leave and let Albanians hold free and fair elections, and then we can have a government that really works for their interests”, Paloka added.
