The Kosovo Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, said on RTK that lobbying for Kosovo’s international recognition is the main priority.

The Kosovo Foreign Minister said that he was using every possible resource for this purpose, even his own personal resources.

“But I am not happy with the trend I see”, Pacolli said, adding that Albania also has not done as much as it should for Kosovo, as regards international lobbying.

“I am not happy with the work done by some members of the Albanian Foreign Ministry, but I am happy with most of them. More energy is needed because they come from a free and sovereign country that can do more in favour of Kosovo. I know that they have their own diplomatic purposes, but I recommend them to work harder for Kosovo”, Pacolli said.

Belgrade, on the other hand, has a maximal commitment to blocking Kosovo’s recognition. Because of this, according to Pacolli, the chances to successfully knock on the doors of other countries are getting lower.

The Kosovo Foreign Minister also reminded that during this period there have also been successes, such as the recognition of Madagascar, which gave a huge disappointment to the Serbian Chief diplomat, Ivica Dacic.
