18 positive cases with Covid-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours in Albania.
The authorities states that in Durrës, 7 cases have been identified in manufacturing shop, all contacts of a previous positive case. There are 5 new cases in Berat, 4 cases in Tirana and 2 in Kruja, stated Silva Bino, head of the infectious diseases department at the Institute of Public Health.
Public Health Institute:
“In the last 24 hours, 219 citizens suspected of being affected by Covid-19 have been tested and 18 citizens have tested positive. Most of them are contacts of previous cases, while the epidemiological field investigation continues.
“In Durrës, 7 cases have been identified in a tailor’s shop, contacts of a positive case. There are 5 new cases in Berat; in Tirana 4 new cases and in Kruja 2 cases.
“These data show us that it is very important to apply the rules by all citizens, not to reduce vigilance. Businesses themselves must adhere to established protocols to protect citizens and employees.”
