The Economy Parliamentary commission voted in principle a law that
according to the government will reduce the burden and inspection
procedures for businesses.
The draft prepared by the Economy Ministry reduces the number of public
inspectorates from 33 to 11, one for each ministry. According to the
government, this would reduce not only business costs, but also the
inspection period.
The new draft increases competences of inspectors in another way,
because now they will not only be the ones who propose the punishing
measures, but they will also implement these measures against
violations, different to the procedure that has been followed up to now,
when penalties were competence of inspectorate leaders.
