Kosovo will make way for creating the army. Serbia, on the other hand, threatens with military reaction.
These declarations mark the peak of the new crisis between both countries, which started after Belgrade blocked Kosovo’s accession in the Interpol.
Adelheid Feilcke, from Deutsche Welle, says they should not exclude the possibility of creating a factual division of Kosovo. However, she says, there should also be a discussion to create a federation between Kosovo and Albania.
This would be traumatic for Serbs, as Kosovo’s economic weight is not that important for their country. It’s more about emotive issues.
