The Albanian government seems to be trying to improve relations with Greece before the EU accession negotiations.

The government has accepted to partially fund an operation for searching and exhuming remains of Greek soldiers fallen in Albania during the Italian-Greek war, a topic that has caused several controversies in both countries.

The Albanian government has decided to approve an old request of Greece, to bury the Greek soldiers in Albania. For this, the government will expropriate the lands for the cemetery of the Grek soldiers.

The searching process will be assisted by experts from Greece.
