Basha: “Small businesses must not pay VAT”

The Democratic Party insists that including small businesses to the VAT
scheme will only increase prices and unemployment, while oligarchs will
get stronger.

Basha said he welcomes a debate about this issue, and he reiterated his proposition.

“Small businesses earning under 12 million ALL of turnover should not pay VAT. Oligarchs are hidden at the Prime Minister lobbies. War against informality cannot be done by hitting the small businesses. Including small businesses into the VAT scheme would not formalize the economy, but it would raise prices and unemployment. Only oligarchs will get richer”, Basha said.

Basha accused Edi Rama about having ties with the crime: “Rama will keep promoting and defending crime. He protects and promotes the interests of oligarchs. After Durim Keci was arrested, people with immunity pressured the police. By what we know, these persons are the Mayor of Durres, Vangjush Dako, and an MP of the Socialist Party”.

As for the electoral reform, Basha said it is all summarized in a wide political action among two main pillars: “Decriminalization of elections and votes of emigrants. DP has presented our draft-strategy with Bylykbashi, as for the votes of immigrants we have proposed it eight years ago”, Basha said.
