Ramush Haradinaj will soon travel to Podgorica, according to local Montenegrin media.

Haradinaj is expected to discuss the border demarkation, a stalemate that has not been resolved yet.

Kosovo hopes for the agreement to be renegotiated, while Montenegro considers it a closed chapter.

This will make one of the first foreign visits of the newly appointed Prime Minister of Kosovo. Haradinaj has been one of the fiercest opponents of the agreement signed two years ago in Vienna.

Haradinaj claimed that Kosovo would lose 8200 hectares of land, since the border should start in Cakorr. After taking over the government, the first decision of Haradinaj was dismissing the Demarkation Commission led by Murat Meha, and appointing the former MP of the LDK, Shpejtim Bulliqi, also opponent of the current pact.

Meha used to claim that Kosovo wouldn’t win or lose more territory, and the difference was very slight.

Meha insisted that all decisions were based on international documents and the technic-military Kumanova Agreement, the Ahtisaari Plan, the UNMIK Regulation, the Demarkation Agreement of August 254th which also had support from the US State Department.
