18.500 high-school students followed professional studies last year,
focusing more on Hotel-Tourism, Mechanics, Services and Information
Technology. The least preferred profiles are wood working, construction
and agriculture.

Albin Gega, Director of Professional Education at the Ministry, says they have created new profiles, such as for geology, mining, research and exploitation of gas and oil, etc.

Although most of professions are oriented towards tourism, there are many demands about mechatronics, electrotechnics, agriculture and veterinary.

As for investments on professional education, Gega says that the budget has increased with 35% and investments for this year have doubled.
