Selami: “Race is unequal”. Basha: “We’re bring hope to Albanians”

The meeting of the Democratic Party candidate, Eduard Selami, at
Tirana’s Municipal Unit 5, was delayed for more than one hour and the
chairman of this unit, Cim Babasi, called Lulzim Basha leader of the
Democratic Party, despite his role makes him responsible to keep
neutrality.

“I was late because I was with the leader”, Babasi said. Selami responded by saying that the race is unequal. For him, Basha only wants to keep his post after a humiliating defeat.

“This is an unequal race and it cannot produce a fair result. Let’s make a serious analyze. What are you fearing? Why don’t you confront me right here? Where are your cameras? Let’s discuss and let’s each of us hold responsibilities”, Selami said.

Despite difficulties, Selami said that it is up to the Democratic Party members to vote and guarantee their vote on July 22nd. “With me as leader, the DP will stop being a private property without competition of values. It will no more have just competition of servitude”, Selami said.

“We will come to power together. We are going to win together very soon, raising problems and standing close to the citizens. This is the formula. Our better days are ahead of us. Together we will not only bring the Democratic Party in power with our values, with popular support, but Albania will also turn into a success story”, Selami said.

Lulzim Basha, on the other hand, met with the Democratic Party members of Tirana, Kamza, Cerrik and Peqin.

Basha said that the manipulations of the June 25th elections proved that the cause of the Democratic Party against drug and decriminalization is the right one.

“Our past four years were a battle against an opponent who cooperates with crime, and with crime that cooperates with power. This battle started with our war for decriminalization. It was criminals in institutions, who, together with Edi Rama, developed a political project for covering Albania with drugs. It is political, because its only purpose was to capture the elections”, Basha said.

Basha added that Democrats have the moral and values that are needed to return hope to Albanians. As for the elections of this Saturday, he underlined that the Democratic Party leaders will be the one to decide about their representatives, and that every contribution will be valued.
