Army engaged to clean lakes from plastic waste

The Albanian military forces, by request of the Albanian Energy
Corporation (KESH), have worked to clean the Fierza and Koman lakes from
urban waste.
Huge amounts of plastic wastes have been removed from the shores of both lakes. The waste is brought by the Drin River, thrown by residents who live along its path.
“I appeal citizens, residents and tourists to stop polluting this marvel of our nature. They should keep it clean, so that we can preserve our nature”, declared the Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli.
The Armed Forces have also cleaned the Qafe-Gjashte-Qafe Bote national road at the Saranda district.
