The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, did not resign from his post.
He suspended his functions and called for a honest race for the next
party leader.
Basha held a speech after the loss and took responsibility for the loss. However, he said that the Democratic Party members will be the ones to decide the next leader through their votes.
“I have a project and my project will be evaluated by the Democratic Party members”, Basha said after losing the elections.
