The Central Election Commission sent three messages to commissioners, the political class and citizens.
CEC Chairman, Klement Zguri, appealed commissioners to respect the law and reminded them that the new code provides harsher punishments for violations.
The second message went to citizens and lawenforcing institutions, appealing them to take measures and guarantee a honest and transparent process.
The last message was to the political class, asking them to respect article 77 of the Electoral Code, which says that the electoral silence must be respected until 19:00.
