EU assists Albania with 4 infrastructure projects, a total of 3.3 million EUR

The EU initiative for Western Balkan presented 24 investment projects in
total for this area. Only 12 of them were approved, with a total of
11.3 million EUR.
Albania has received four of these projects, reaching 3.3 million EUR. It is also winner of the regional project for the energy transmission.
Top Channel has learned that the four winning projects of Albania are: “Reconstruction of the Durres Port quays, with a total value of 1.1 million EUR, the construction of the Lezhe Bypass, support for the Skavica hydropower plant, to a total 1.5 million EUR, and a 400.000 EUR investment for tourism businesses along the Shkoder lake.
Diplomatic sources said for Top Channel that besides profiting most of them, these projects are strategic for the country.
Kosovo has also received an important part, especially for the railway that connects Prishtina with its airport, with a total cost of 1.1 million EUR. 260.000 EUR for improving the health system.
