Tirana’s second underground parking inaugurated at New Boulevard

The parking at Tirana’s New Boulevard offers 328 new spaces for drivers, especially for vehicles that will be used by the institutions that are going to be built around.

On his second anniversary as Mayor of Tirana, Veliaj and Socialist MP Ervin Bushati inspected the underground parking at the New Boulevard, which will serve citizens from today.

“Two years ago no one could imagine Tirana having several underground parking areas. We are inaugurating the second one today. The third will start at the Qemal Stafa Stadium and Italia Square, which will solve the parking problem even in that area. Today it is a special day for me as well, since exactly two years ago I was elected as Mayor by the people of the Albanian capital. The people blessed with the best job one could ever have in his life, serving to his own city. I am happy that this investment coincides with this emotional moment for me”, Veliaj said.

The Mayor said the municipality is working with the development priorities of the New Boulevard area, but before they will finalize the underground and above ground infrastructure. “We are in a phase when we are evaluating detailed local plans for residential and commercial structures, businesses, banks, hotels, etc”, Veliaj said.
