The Minister of Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, preferred to avoid the “trust
gover”, key word of the day. “I am here to trust the police. You want to
trust politics”, he said, in front of 419 new cadets admitted by the
State Police. Xhafaj said that the police would guarantee the electoral
process.

We know the damage that could be caused for the ruling force if it doesn’t guarantee a behavior that respects the law and the constitution. Through my will, as a Minister, the will of this government to realize free and fair elections, is complete and very clear”, Xhafaj said, also warning that every police department that doesn’t fight against cannabis plantation, will be dismantled.
The Interior Minister reiterated the need to implement a vetting process on State Police employees, based on the judiciary reform model.
