President of the European Commission Jean Claude Juncker, sent a message to US President Donald Trump asking him not to encourage European nations to copy “Brexit”. Speaking to “Financial Times”, Juncker warned EU break-up could trigger war in the Western Balkans.
He also said Trump’s enthusiasm for Great Britain leaving the EU was something annoying and weird at the same time. Because, according to him, New York billionaire is not aware of Europe’s complicated history.
“I told vice President Pence not to call on other European nation to leave the union, because if there’s a break-up than you will face a new war in the Western Balkans”, Juncker declared.
The former Luxembourg Prime Minister called Brexit a “tragedy with many consequences” and said the total bill for Britain leaving EU will amount at 60 billion dollars, after complicated and difficult negotiations between parties.
