The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said his government has reduced health costs for Albanian families.

“We have undertaken a series of measures to support our reforms, which we can proudly say that have reduced health care costs to Albanian families. The 600.000 uninsured Albanians will receive reimbursable medicine, in order to guarantee equal access to health service. Family doctors are not free, and other services have symbolic fees”, Rama said from Durres.

The Prime Minister added that the Health Sector improvements are seen with doubts only by those who haven’t needed any service during the past years.

“The health sector suffers prejudice from all others, because it is related to peoples’ lives. But one thing is certain. Those who are receiving health care today, have a more positive opinion about hospitals than others”, Rama said.
