Two officers from the Belgian Judicial Police testified at the Tirana
Court against former MP Mark Frroku, accused of murdering Aleksander
Kurti in 1999, in Belgium.

The two Belgian officers testified that Frroku is the same person known in Belgium also as Besnik Morina, Dritan Frroku and Piro Soprani, and who was implicated in the murder case of Aleksander Kurti.

The Belgian officers were reserved about the evidence that led them to Frroku, since the case is also undergoing in Belgium.

As for the motive, the Belgian officers say that the late Aleksander Kurti had fallen in love with an Albanian girl that was sexually exploited by Frroku and other Albanians in a prostitution network. The request for the girl to leave prostitution was the cause of the conflict that ended with Kurti’s death.
