US Ambassador: “Time of corrupted judges and prosecutors has ended”

The US Ambassador, Donald Lu, warned that more is expected from
Albanians now that the justice reform is about to be implemented.
“They want to believe that your generation will use this precious opportunity of the Justice Reform to make sure that everyone, guilty or not, will be treated with respect”, Lu said.
For the US Chief Diplomat, this is more about the direction that the country needs to take, more than a justice issue.
“Albanians need to hope that your generation will bring back hope and trust that there will be justice for everyone”, Lu said.
For the Prosecutor General, justice must clean itself first: “The constitutional corpus and the legislation that passed owns to strengthen the justice reform in the country, to fight corruption and give full justice to citizens”.
In this point, for the first time after a long period, the US ambassador and the PG had an identical opinion: “The time of corrupted judiges and prosecutors has come to an end. Today it is your day”.
