Besides the investigations at the “Koco Gliozheni” hospital, the
Prosecution of Tirana has extended their investigations to two other
hospitals where Aid Cajku was transported to.
Sources say that the first doctors are being investigated for sending the woman to another hospital, and the others are being investigated for returning the woman to the maternity back again.
The cardiologist of the “Mother Theresa” hospital declared that the woman, pregnant at her ninth month, had arrived to their hospital with breathing difficulties. That is why they had decided to send her to the Sanatorium.
Doctors at the Sanatorium explained that Aida Cajku had spleen bleeding, and it was impossible for them to treat her. Sources explained that the woman was not registered at the Mother Theresa hospital, while minimal procedures at the Koco Gliozheni have been violated.
The Prosecution asked doctors Helidon Klodi and Dritan Decka to be kept in prison for 45 days, until the coroner’s report proves the cause of death.
The Prosecution took under custody two out of four doctors who are being investigated.
The third doctor, Nazime Ceni, and the nurse, were both supposed to act on order of the two doctors who were in service that Friday night.
