Three inspectors from the Shen Kolli prison were let go after liberating
convict Shuaip Zukaj, from Kosovo, sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The legal officer of the Lezhe prison, Devis Hoxha, was arrested right after the investigations opened by the Lezhe Prosecutor. He was the employee who signed the liberation of the defendant.
The Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, said that he supports the Prosecution with the investigations. According to him, firing the inspectors of the Interior Inspection Service wsa the minimal that could be done for the case in question.
Shuaip Zukaj, from Decan, Kosovo, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Kosovo. He was released in Albania after being accused of attempted murder, although he should be extradited.
