The Development Plan for the Ionnian Coastline starts with the cleaning
of what Rama called “a jungle with 11.000 hectares of fake property
titles”.

“There are 11.000 hectares of property titles taken away from legal owners and given to supposed owners. These properties will return to the state or to the legal owners, same as we will return the territory taken by squatters”, Rama declared from Vuno.

The Prime Minister stopped in this village to present the government’s draft project that aims to increase tourism and development in this area.

“We are trying every day to save what we have inherited, but also to turn it into an element for social and economic development”, he said.

The Project will start from the Vuno Church, a monument of Special Importance for its historic and cultural values. Rama said that the government will not stop with this. They will continue with all the coastline village to change their image, which, according to Rama, was forgotten for 25 years.

“We want to give this tourist area a new developing force and turn these environment into a motor for the economic development”, he said.

One day ago, during the presentation of the project for the “Vlore River”, Rama spoke also for the new promenade by the sea.

“The work has progressed, but not enough. I hope that the company will realize the goal and to have a different situation this season”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister added that the third rehabilitation phase for the port will enable the anchorage of larger commercial ships.
