The Chief of the Tirana Police no.3 has asked Democratic Party MP, Gent
Strazmiri, to hand over the weapon he was seen on his belt today during
the protest at the Tirana Artificial Lake Park.
The request was made on March 17th and is based on the law of 1992, now repealed.
“You have been armed with a gun based on law 7566, dated February 25th, 1992. This law has been repealed. Within March 25th 2016, you must hand over the weapon and ammunition at the Tirana Police Precinct no.3”, says the document.
