Rama: “We recovered the energy sector”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the energy reform
has made the sector recover, while the CEZ agreement avoided a huge debt
that the state’s budget could not afford.

“We faced with huge energy debts as soon as we came to power. The World Bank, before starting the reforms, said that everything would depend on what we would do with energy. The distribution company was in total collapse and in an open conflict with CEZ. Albania was facing another threat, that of international arbitrage”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister added that he is grateful to the energy community that supported a transforming process.
