Two young artists are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Lushnja Congress with a giant mural painting in one of the city’s buildings.

Two boys from Kosovo and one girl from Tirana have united their ideas to realize this unique work.

The artwork is done on the main road that leads to the house where the Congress was held.

For the boys from Kosovo, this awakens in them a national pride, while learning even more about the nation’s history.

Gent Beqiri, one of the artists, says it was a great pleasure for him to contribute not only for the city of Lushnje, but for this marked day as well.

Ledia Kostandini says that the painting was conceived to describe all the things that took place in this Congress, including the national anthem of this congress.

The Lushnje Congress was held in January 21st,  1920, and it took very important decisions for the nation.

On that day, Albanians declared Tirana as the capital, among many other decisions.
