US Congressman, Gary Peters condemned the Serbian violence in Northern
Kosovo and expressed his support for the actions that were undertaken by
the government of Kosovo.
“An independent and sovereign country has the right to defend its citizens and protect its borders”, declared Peters in the US Congress.
He condemned the discriminating decisions of Serbian against Kosovo, since its Independence declaration on February 2008.
Then he added that he is proud to represent the important Kosovo-American community in southeastern Michigan.
A few days ago, the congressman Eliot Engel expressed his support for the operation of the Kosovo Special Forces for taking under control the border checkpoints no.1 and 31 in the northern territories.
