A grave incident happened near the “Student’s Town” university campus in
Tirana, at voting center 1718 of Municipality Unit 2. One Top-Channel
reporter and the cameraman were physically attacked.
According to eye witnesses, the reporter Marin Mema and the cameraman Eno Çuçllari were physically attacked by some people, who have took the camera of Top-Channel.
The Top-Channel crew was going to the voting center at the “Student’s Town”, to follow a news about two people caught with fake identity cards.
“We were informed for two false identity cards and drove there to film, but we were attacked by 20-30 persons who attacked our cameraman and took his camera”, said Mema.
Some hours later, the police was able to find a teenager who was keeping the camera. According to the police, he was the one who had taken it. The voting center in this area is held in a private facility. According to Top-Channel reporters, in this are there are criminals standing by the voting center.
Another Top-Channel crew has not been allowed to film the voting center 2300 in Elbasan.
