Tirana municipality repairs Middle Ring Road with new bicycle lane

The Tirana Municipality has started the Middle Ring Road which foresees improvement of vehicles and more bicycle lanes.
Mayor Veliaj said from Municipal Unit 7 that they will work with this pace for the New Theater and the Pyramid.
“The part of the road from the riverside will be only for bicycles. The rest will be for private vehicles and public transportation. Buses will have their dedicated lane in the areas where the traffic is heavier. With these interventions, we encourage alternative transportation”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor of Tirana admitted that the project, same as the one of the Theater, will be accompanied by resistance and debates, but one day it will receive the right evaluation.
