Tirana, illegal building floor demolished

After a denouncement made by the neighbors, the Municipal Police and the
Construction Inspectorate destroyed the last floor of a five storey
building in “Ibrahim Dervishi” road, Tirana.
The owner of the object had registered his four storey building for legalization, but in the meantime he was adding another illegal floor.
The spokesperson of the Tirana Municipality declared that they have demolished 8 objects in 10 days, but it remains unknown if the Municipality of Tirana has started a genuine actions or if this is just a show for the media.
More than an action it seems like pressure for stopping the illegal constructions that spurred during the election period, when the attention was concentrated on the strong political debate. Some of these constructions started even after the Electoral College decided who would lead Tirana for the next four years. The spokesperson of the Municipality declared that they have identified more than 100 illegal objects.
