Hundreds of people gathered today in Tirana to celebrate the 100th anniversary and its new logo.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, announced that February would mark the start of the celebrations of this important event.
Veliaj was together with team from the “Karrota” studio, whose logo was chosen for the 100th anniversary.
“This is the time to get together and use this logo as an identity, a symbol of Tirana on its 100th anniversary.
“I am looking forward to start with the February activities, with the itinerary starting in Lushnje, where Tirana was declared the capital of Albania.
“We must understand that Tirana is the youngest capital of Europe today. Its population has quadrupled, since 1990. Today there are 130 foreign nationalities living in Tirana. This city is a home to all of them, and that’s why this 100th anniversary is also theirs”, Veliaj declared.
