Soltes: “Let’s avoid visa apartheid with Kosovo”

The rapporteur for Kosovo at the European Parliament, Igor Soltes, gave a strong declaration regarding Kosovo.
He openly declared that Europe shouldn’t allow apartheid with the visa regime.
The Slovenian EMP made these comments on Radio Free Europe, a few days after several EU officials declared that the lifting of the visa regime for Kosovo could take more time than previously thought.
“I don’t know why some countries wouldn’t want to give green light for the visa liberalization”, Soltes declared.
He hopes that the case will be on the agenda of the Council of Ministers after a few weeks. However, there have been many skeptical voices within the EU regarding this matter.
