The Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, declared that the Albanian Parliament has taken concrete steps for addressing the recommendations of the European Commission, which are related to the opening of EU accession negotiations.

Balla underlined that Albania has approved the action plan for implementing the recommendation, and underlined the positive progress of the Judiciary Reform process.

“As part of the judiciary reform, essential for our quick progress with the European agenda, the Albanian Parliament has unanimously passed seven priority laws that follow the constitutional amends, including the Vetting Law. We are also working with 14 other draft laws from this package”, Balla declared.

He underlined that the implementation of this reform, which serves as a good example, is now seeing progress. “The first results for the vetting of judges and prosecutors will be published soon”, Balla declared.

He added that the political class and Albanian citizens have trust on the support of international partners to pass on the next phase of full accession with the European family.
