Serbian imports, business: Difficult to ban

Kosovo businesses say that the idea for banning all imports from Serbia,
as a counter response to Belgrade’s decision for not importing Kosovo
goods, is delayed.

According to them, the vacuum would be a burden to be carried by Kosovo consumers, because Serbia has increased prices for getting the Kosovo market, where they have a 400 EUR annual turnover.

“It is difficult to take such a decision, and we have explained why. But even if it will be taken, is a difficult decision to be implemented, because we do not completely control our doors. The lobbing of Serbian merchants in Kosovo is more powerful”, declared Agim Shahini, head of Kosovo Business Agency.

“Those are more of media problems. Some individual businesses in Albania or Kosovo cannot be considered as national problems”, he added.
