Serbian businesses reduce prices for Kosovo

Despite the warning of establishing high taxes in Customs, the Serbian producers don’t seem to give up easily from the Kosovo market.

The Kosovo Business Agency warned that Serbian businesses will decrease prices of their goods by 10%. This way, the Kosovo Customs tax of 10% will not change the price for Kosovo consumers.

However, Kosovo Business Alliance is skeptical to the fact that the Kosovo government is able to apply mutual measures for Serbian goods at this time.

The warning of the Kosovo government for adding a 10% tax to Serbian goods has increased their import in the recent days.

Kosovo business representatives expressed their concern that these goods could pass the expiring date and that would damage the consumers, or would oblige the importers to repack them.

Agim Shahini added that he would be satisfied if mutual measures would be established, but the best choice, according to him, would be if everyone would respect the CEFTA Agreement and if Serbia would open its doors to Kosovo goods.
